Core Web Vitals & Speed Optimization
Website speed optimization and Core Web Vitals fixes, done as a real audit and fix — not just claims of "fast." I find what's actually slowing your Shopify or WordPress store down, fix it at the theme and script level, and show you the before-and-after numbers.
Speed is a conversion problem before it's a technical metric
Nobody buys from a page they gave up waiting on. Every fix below is chosen for what it does to load time and responsiveness on a real phone on a real connection — not for a vanity score.
Performance Audit
Lab and field data (Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights, Chrome UX Report) across your key templates — home, collection, product, cart — with a prioritized list of what's costing you the most.
LCP, INP & CLS Fixes
Hero image and font loading, render-blocking resources, main-thread work, layout shift from banners, badges and late-loading apps — fixed in the theme, not papered over with a plugin.
App & Script Cleanup
Most slow Shopify stores are carrying apps they no longer use and the code those apps left behind. I audit every script, remove what's dead and load what's needed only where it's needed.
Images, Fonts & Theme Code
Properly sized, modern-format images, lazy loading done right, font subsetting, and Liquid, JavaScript and CSS cleanup across the theme — for Shopify and WordPress/WooCommerce alike.
What usually turns out to be the problem
More apps don't mean more functionality — usually they mean more load time and more to break.
The biggest element on the page is loading last. Fixing the LCP image alone often moves the score more than everything else combined.
Uninstalling an app doesn't remove its code. Themes accumulate years of dead scripts that still load on every page.
Desktop looks fine, mobile is where the sales are lost. Every audit I run is mobile-first for that reason.
Audit first, then fix what matters
Baseline
I capture lab and field metrics for your key pages so every change is measured against a real starting point.
Prioritize
You get a plain-language list of what's slow, why, and what fixing each item is worth — so you can decide what to approve.
Fix on a duplicate theme
All changes happen on an unpublished theme copy. Nothing goes live until it's tested on mobile and desktop and checkout still works.
Report
A before/after comparison on Core Web Vitals, page weight and request count, plus notes on how to keep it fast when adding apps later.

Message on WhatsApp (opens in a new tab)How do you speed up a Shopify store?
I start with a real audit — Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights and Chrome UX Report field data — then fix what actually moves the numbers: oversized images and the LCP element, render-blocking and unused JavaScript/CSS, leftover code from uninstalled apps, third-party scripts, layout shift, and theme-level Liquid inefficiencies. You get a before/after report, not just a claim that it's "faster." Read the full speed checklist →
What are Core Web Vitals and why do they matter for my store?
Core Web Vitals are Google's three user-experience metrics: LCP (how fast the main content loads), INP (how quickly the page responds to taps and clicks) and CLS (how much the layout jumps around). They are a Google ranking signal, and more importantly they track directly with conversion — customers abandon pages they have to wait for.
Will removing apps break my store?
Not if it's done carefully. I audit every app and script first, identify what is actually used, and remove or replace only what isn't — and the leftover code that uninstalled apps leave in the theme. Everything is done on a duplicate theme and tested before it goes live.
Do you optimize WordPress and WooCommerce sites too?
Yes. The same audit-first approach applies to WordPress: caching and hosting configuration, image optimization, plugin and script cleanup, database bloat, Elementor/theme bloat and Core Web Vitals fixes.
What results can I expect?
It depends on where the store starts, so I don't promise a specific score. What I do promise is a measured before/after on the metrics that matter (LCP, INP, CLS, page weight, request count) and a plain-language explanation of what changed and why.
Is your store slow enough that it's costing you sales?
Send me the URL on WhatsApp and I'll tell you what a quick look shows — before you commit to anything.
